Item #1 - Nevada County Narrow Gauge by Gerald Best. Like-new copy of the history of one of California's last narrow gauge lines, which served the Gold-Rush country east of Sacramento. 1998 edition. $20. SOLD

Item #2 - Nevada Central (Sagebrush Narrow Gauge) by Mallory Hope Farrell. Like-new copy of 2010 edition tells the tale of the lonely narrow gauge route from the SP mainline to Eureka in central Nevada. $50. SOLD

Item #3 - Railroads Through the Coeur d'Alenes, by John V. Wood. Like new copy of the history of the multiple standard and narrow gauge lines to the mining region of Wallace, ID. These included joint interurban/steamboat/rail routes. Profusely illustrated and with many maps. $30. SOLD

Item #4- The Pacific Coast Railway by Kenneth Westcott and Curtiss Johnson. Like new copy of the history of the California narrow gauge line that served the central California Coast region from San Luis Obispo. $40. SOLD

Item #5 - Rutland--60 Years of Trying Volume 5 Part 2 by R.W. Nimke Nice copy, with very limited wear, covering the Rutland mainline (including the Island Line) from Rutland to Alburgh. $35. SOLD

Item #6 - The Rusty Dusty: Great Northern's Wenatchee--Oroville Branch, by Mac McCullough and John Langlot Like new copy of a very nice book. This is a model of comprehensive coverage of a railroad line and the communities it served, while helping to open up the eastern slope of Washington state. Beautifully illustrated and with many fine maps as well. This was a quite scenic line along the eastern slope of the Cascade Mountains. $15. SOLD

Item #7 - Minnesota Railroads: A Pictorial History 1940-2012 by Steve Glischinski Like new copy. A very good photo history of the railroads of Minnesota, with particularly high-quality photography including extensive coverage of the pre-Amtrak passenger trains on the Rock Island, Milwaukee Road, North Western, NP, GN and the CB&Q. Good Amtrak-era shots as well and concise, accurate text. A coffee-table book that is a real work of research and love and not a cut/paste hack job! $20. SOLD

Item #8 - Twilight Rails: The Final Era of Railroad Building in the Midwest, by Roger Grant Like New copy. A history of seven of the final new rail lines to be constructed in the midwest--the Akron, Canton and Youngstown; Creston, Winterset and Des Moines; Detroit, Bay City and Western/Port Huron and Detroit; the Electric Short line Ry/Minnesota Western; Etrick and Northern RR; Illinois, Iowa, and Minnesota Ry/Chicago, Milwaukee and Gary Ry; Missouri, Arkansas and Gulf RR and the St. Joseph Valley Ry. This covers an unusual era/region in some depth, with good maps, good text and of course photos. $5.00. SOLD

Item #9 - Hawaiian Railway Album: WWII Era Photos. by Gail Treiber Like new copy. Essentially a photo history of the surprisingly many railroads of Hawaii as they were during WWII--with in-depth coverage of the busy narrow gauge Oahu Ry and Navigation system--which featured heavy passenger--even commuter service and of the plantation railways still in use on several islands. Good maps and beautifully reproduced B&W photgraphy mostly taken by US Navy sailor Victor Norton Jr. $30. SOLD

Item #10 - The American Passenger Train, by Mike Schafer Like new copy. A 170 year history of US passenger rail service by the editor of Passenger Train Journal. Beautifully illustrated--with many color photos and well-written text. Many reproductions included of original advertising. $20. SOLD
